Following the success of our self-rimming series of sinks, which we first developed in the late 80's, we developed our first undermount sink in 1999. Our goal was to encourage solid surface fabricators to use a Karran sink under name brand solid surface sheet products. With outstanding performance characteristics and a competitive price point, we were able to encourage fabricators nationwide to make the switch.

But what of laminate, we asked?

Could we install the same undermount sink used in solid surface under laminate? Many late nights in our own research fabrication facility proved that we could. After several years of intensive testing, we set the Undermount to Laminate application loose into the marketplace in 2002. And the rest, as they say, is history.
